2. How We Use Your Information

  • Match you with licensed real estate agents through our referral network
  • If you opt in, refer you to mortgage professionals including CCM and facilitate communication between you and those partners
  • Communicate with you about your inquiry via phone, email, and text
  • Process and track referral fees associated with your transaction
  • Improve the Website and our matching processes
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions
  • Prevent fraud and protect the security of the Services

3. Sharing Your Information

Referred Real Estate Agents: When you request an agent referral, we share your contact and transaction information with the accepting agent. That agent may pay BestLocalAgents a referral fee upon closing.

Mortgage Referral Partners (Opt-In Only): We will only share your information with mortgage referral partners, including CCM, if you affirmatively answer Yes to the question “Do you want to be connected with a lender?” during our intake process. If you answer No, your information will not be shared with any mortgage lender or lending partner, and you will not be contacted about mortgage services through our platform.

Agent Referral Platform: We use our internal ReferralMate Corp platform to process agent referrals and match your inquiry with licensed real estate professionals.

Service Providers: We may share information with vendors who assist us in operating the Website (e.g., CRM platforms, email providers, analytics tools). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to us.

Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BestLocalAgents, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose mobile opt-in consent or SMS consent data with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Lender Opt-In and Your Choice

During our intake process, you will be asked: “Do you want to be connected with a lender?”

  • If you answer Yes: You are giving us express permission to share your information with our mortgage referral partners, including CCM. Those partners may contact you about home loan options. BestLocalAgents may receive a referral fee if you close a loan with a referred lender.
  • If you answer No: Your information will not be shared with any mortgage lender. You will only be connected with a real estate agent. Your choice does not affect your agent referral in any way.

You may change your preference at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal of lender consent does not affect any sharing that occurred before your request.

5. RESPA Disclosure

BestLocalAgents participates in referral arrangements with both real estate agents and mortgage lenders. In accordance with RESPA and applicable state law:

  • Real estate agents referred through our platform pay BestLocalAgents a 25% referral fee upon closing.
  • Mortgage lenders (including CCM) pay BestLocalAgents a referral fee upon closing of your mortgage loan — but only if you opted in to the lender connection.
  • These referral arrangements do not affect the rates, terms, or services offered to you by any referred party.
  • You are never required to use any referred agent or lender.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Website, personalize your experience, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect certain Website features. We may use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. If you did not opt in to lender sharing, that preference is recorded and maintained so that your information is never inadvertently shared.
